By Trevor Kugler If you fish rivers as I do, aren’t you always interested in the most efficient way to do it? I am, and have recently found the most efficient way that I’ve ever found. My favorite river is in the wilderness and walking along it can be just like walking through the brush. That’s probably because that’s exactly what is happening. I’m walking through the brush to get to the next good stretch of river. Then I stumbled on the most efficient way that I’ve ever seen to fish wilderness rivers such as the one I like. It called a personal pontoon boat. There are different companies that make them, but personal pontoon boats are basically a seat mounted on top of a couple of inflatable pontoons. They are literally a personal boat! And on rivers that are difficult to walk along because of overgrown brush, these “personal boats” are the way to go. In the past you may have only been able to cover 3-4 miles of river in a trip, with the aid of a personal pontoon boat, you can fish three times that amount of water. You’ll be able to access areas of the river that you never thought possible. And you’ll be able to fish these areas in a way you never thought possible. On the river I prefer to fish, there are a ton of fallen trees that can block an angler’s path, especially in the spring. In a boat such as a canoe, traversing fallen tree’s is a major pain in the butt. But with my personal pontoon, I simply carry it over any fallen trees. It can easily be picked up with two hands. It’s also quite relaxing to float down your favorite river without a care in the world. And if you feel like stopping to fish an area, you simply stop, pull the boat onto the bank,. And fish the area. I wear my waders the entire time, just as I would if I were walking along the bank. In general, the dynamics of a lasting relationship includes the man having the (invisible) relational authority and the woman, without challenging that, remaining as more of the submisser. That is the natural relational dynamic which lasts. Natural women know their place and don’t challenge the man’s natural authority in the relationship. Today’s independent women immediately want to challenge that timeless fact and it brings up all kinds of byproducts such as a 50% divorce rate. A natural woman though, doesn’t want to become the man or lead the relationship, nor have him do her natural roles which she does best. The man should also respect and love the woman for the role she is doing while supporting his role (as provider/protector). With that said, our dynamics have changed. That’s why millions of men are confused. Men can be themselves in a relationship and their wife will often take over the relationship because of her own development and he doesn’t know how to behave around it because it’s unnatural (which she doesn’t realize). Those are just some of the dynamics we have today extrapolated into a longer term relationship. So…when dealing with the empowered women upfront it just isn’t really safe to tell her how a man feels anyways. Relationships are a balance of power. Like I already covered; lasting relationships have one unspoken leader (usually the man) and the other (the wife who doesn’t challenge his natural authority). I’ve seen many relationships where the woman takes on the role of wearing the pants in the family. Those relationships can last but it’s unnatural for a man to be repressed that much and he just puts up with her control. So if relationships are a delicate power balance, which both parties knew instinctively (and women have developed past their instinctiveness), they are now more of a power balance than ever. Since First World women now have ‘power’, relationships of any form become a power struggle or balance of power. There will be turmoil if there isn’t one official ‘lead’ of the relationship. Unfortunately, when a man tells a woman ‘how he feels’ even in a short-term ‘dating’ relationship, this basically means that he has given up her power to her and she now has the true yet often hidden ‘relational authority’ of the relationship. She now ‘owns him’ and only because of who she is. Natural women don’t have this problem. They instinctively know their natural role and stay in proper relational dynamic with men which lasts. With an empowered woman who already has power, if a man says something like this, he looks weak and she has the authority and takes over. All of this prevents men from telling how they feel unless they’re an ‘EMO’ wussbag who is sprouting out all of his pent up emotions for an ‘independent and wonderful’ woman. Unfortunately in the true relational ‘power’ dynamic, he has given his power up to the woman. I have to re-emphasize again that natural women do not have this problem. So while many dating guru’s are immediately blaming the men as wussies for showing ANY kind of emotion, they’re missing the dynamics which currently exist. Our female behavior prevents most men from showing any kind of emotion without losing his relational authority. She’ll start losing interest immediately just alone for the fact that she is so developed and the relational power balance is extremely delicate (and many men HAVE become ‘fragile’). Many men are fragile because of our media propagation of gay role models instead of masculine alpha models. This will only grow further in the direction it’s going with more and more female ‘empowerment’. Sure, women may want ‘men to be men’ but the reality is, though it started out as an equality movement, women have grown unnaturally equal..they’ve grown ’stronger’ and more powerful. None of this helps real or lasting relationships. Men don’t even have the freedom to tell a woman how he feels. Heck, even strong men like me who retain authority over a relationship have VERY little squeeze room to express ourselves without her losing immediate interest. Girls, this is all to your detriment for better and worse. I predict that you won’t change. You can’t because you don’t have a supportive ’stimulus’ of an environment which has it’s priorities on natural attributes and happiness instead of socially-driven ‘career’ advancement. Once you develop, it’s hard to behaviorally go back to your roots. The advantage men have is that they can be more balanced and can ‘develop’ because of their natural (yes I said it) role of head of the house and leader. So men don’t want to be ‘wussy’…they have emotions and I admit that it’s gotten out of control but there’s a deeper context here. Other guru’s don’t realize the full fragile balance of power in a relationship. Unfortunately for men to be successful with you as a woman who is reading, they will have to repress their emotions in order to avoid swinging the delicate balance of power over into your favor. And if they do show any sign, you’ll lose interest in reality and it’s over. Quite tragic in a way. One answer for millions of men is to find natural women; women with whom they actually CAN show emotion who will reciprocate the emotion and not lose attraction to him but actually grow stronger in healthy attraction to him. I’ve experienced this countless times and that’s the natural way of things; it’s the way it’s meant to be and the natural alpha women are experiencing in reality what the prada’s and prickteases only fantasize about because they are in touch with their natural character in their behavioral reality. That is the natural way of things and it’s what millions of developed women are missing. They can’t experience true romance because of their own ‘power’. Many common diseases can be avoided because the hydroponic medium is clean while soil may contain fungus or insects that can harm vulnerable seedlings. Root rot can also be avoided by using a good hydroponic growing system. The area where hydroponic growing really shines over using soil is control of the growing environment. With hydroponics, the gardener is no longer at the mercy of the soil’s nutrient or water content. Every aspect of the plant’s growing conditions can be controlled by the grower, not Mother Nature. This can be a tremendous advantage for young seedlings because they will get the proper nutrients right from the start of their life, leading to much healthier plants in the long run. Choosing a Growing Medium for Germinating Seeds While germinating, seeds require both oxygen and water to sprout. This means that your growing medium must provide sufficient amounts of both to the seed or it will not germinate. Porous mediums such as perlite, rockwool, or vermiculite will do this along with having great drainage capabilities. Rockwool cubes can be used for quick set up and easy transplanting as the seeds sprout and grow into full-size plants. Simply place a larger cube around the cube holding the plant. The roots will expand and grow through both rockwool cubes, allowing your medium to easily adapt to the size of your plant. Perlite makes another good growing medium for germinating seeds because its porosity allows for good drainage and oxygen availability. Just be sure to use the gardening-grade perlite rocks and not the finer grade masonry-quality powder. Plant your seeds about a half to one full inch deep in the perlite medium and cover them with a thin layer of perlite. The easiest way to set up a seedling tray with perlite is to use a plastic tub or similar container covered in black plastic to ensure that no light will penetrate to the roots of your plants. Add a drain hole about an inch from the container’s bottom to cycle your nutrient solution through while keeping a minimum level of solution available to the plants at all times. Nutrients for Germinating Seeds Many seeds contain nutrients within their shell to provide initial nourishment to jumpstart the germination process. However, this is not true for all species. Orchid seeds, for example, contain very little nutrients, so be sure to research your particular plant before setting up your garden. To avoid stressing the seed at a vulnerable point, it is best to use a medium that is pre-prepared with a low concentration of nutrients. The first few initial waterings will give your seeds a small dose of nutrients until it is ready to absorb more. After a few days, switch to a regular nutrient solution in your water, but keep it at a lower dose than normal until the seed shows significant growth. Once the plants have developed strong, healthy stalks, you can change them over to your normal feeding and watering program and use your seedling tray for the next batch of germinating seeds. Afterwards, the dreams of Mom and daughter see a large hall filled with food and people, music and fun. Still, most fathers make at least one attempt to persuade their daughters to consider taking a sum of money and either eloping or planning a very small gathering of friends and family, instead of spending so much on a grand wedding event. Perhaps more daughters should consider doing just that. The wedding industry would disagree. Their pocketbooks are lined as the dream weddings are planned and performed. Why would they want that to change? It is only one day, and it is the ceremony itself that is the important thing, not the glitter that tags along. The words exchanged, the love shared, the plans of a future together are the important things. Weddings never go off as planned. And in the midst of planning, lives are changed, feelings are hurt, harsh words are exchanged, and relationships are marred. Is having a huge wedding really worth all of that? Major retailers offer some excellent choices right off the rack. Invitations can be simple and less expensive and still elegant. Flower arrangements and bouquets can be simple and elegant as well for those on a tight budget. Some say that how you plan your wedding and spend money for that one day of your life affects how you think about money issues in the marriage. Learning to be frugal and wise from the beginning benefits any marriage relationship. Even if the brides parents can afford it, does it really make sense to plan a wedding that costs more than the average person makes in one year? By Chris Chenoweth Most people think that if they skip breakfast, it will help them lose weight. Actually, the opposite occurs. If you deprive your body of food in the morning, it will shift into starvation mode and burn fewer calories, resulting in a slower metabolism. Make sure you eat a protein-packed breakfast within one hour of rising. This will jump-start your metabolism and put it in hyper-drive for the next three hours. The best breakfast contains protein and complex carbs like oatmeal and/or other whole grains. There is a direct link between eating breakfast and successful weight loss. Those who eat breakfast eat fewer calories throughout the rest of the day, have better nutritional habits, and generally weigh less. The secret to successful weight loss is to get your metabolism revved up first thing in the morning. The only way to do that is to eat a healthy breakfast. Not only does skipping breakfast lower metabolic rate, it lowers blood sugar levels, resulting in a lack of energy. Low blood sugar levels generally lead to feeling very hungry and overeating and snacking during the rest of the day. Eating breakfast eliminates that feeling and decreases the risk for overeating during the day. There are many excuses that people use to skip breakfast. The two most common excuses are not enough time to eat and eating first thing in the morning upsets your stomach. If either of these two excuses belongs to you, consider the following tips: NOT ENOUGH TIME *If time is truly an issue for you (if you cannot rise earlier in the morning), eat something that does not require any time to prepare. Drink a glass of orange juice, eat a piece of fruit or eat a container of yogurt. There is always SOMETHING you can pick up and eat quickly. Remember, anything is better than nothing. *Prepare your breakfast the night before. If you are going to have a bowel of cereal, lay out your bowl, the box of cereal and your spoon. The same rule applies for eating toast, oatmeal, etc. Have everything ready that is possible to have ready. *Pack it up and take it with you. Drink some juice at home and put some toast or cereal in a container and take it with you to work or keep breakfast food in your drawer at work. UPSETS YOUR STOMACH *If eating breakfast makes you sick to your stomach, find something you CAN stomach or get up earlier and wait awhile before you try to eat. *Eat a plain bagel or a plain piece of toast, both bland enough that they will not upset your tummy. *If you love peanut butter sandwiches, have one on whole wheat bread for breakfast. It has protein and whole grains, a good, healthy combination. *Eat some yogurt. Yogurt is very good for you and should not upset your tummy. *If you really cannot find something that does not upset your stomach, try some cheese crackers. They are not the best choice but they will keep you from starving yourself. *If you are not hungry in the morning or food upsets you, perhaps you are eating too much at night. Eating sugar-laden foods are terribly unhealthy and can upset your system, making it very difficult to eat breakfast the following morning. *If you must eat at night, try eating a piece of fruit, a yogurt, or a warm cup of milk flavored with chocolate. Turn him around, apologize and give him a big kiss, and he will forget what you were arguing about. Have dinner together at home The stomach is still the key to a mans heart. Order something he loves, or if you can, whip up a mean dish. Cook his favorite and he will forgive you without you tendering any formal apologies. Your efforts will do the apologizing for you after all, action speaks much louder than words.
